AKQA Sh – Jordan CNY : Kite boy
A modern folktale about a boy and his journey to gain respect on the street ball courts of Beijing.
Long recognized as a Chinese invention, the kite has deep cultural meaning representing promises of good luck and the dream to fly, making it the perfect inspiration for the Air Jordan V Retro Low CNY and the Jordan Super Fly 4 PO CNY, as well as the theme of the film.
Released with the Jordan CNY Collection and inspired by Chinese folklore, the film empowers kids to pursue their dreams this upcoming year.
The animation was designed and co-directed by AKQA SHANGHAI and animation studio FNLPRJCT (Malaysia), with musical score by THE REC ROOM (Malaysia).
